Whether you are performing, practising, taking music exams or even playing for your own leisure, it is essential that an instrument id kept in top condition to get the maximum response, accurate tuning, full tone and the most enjoyment and satisfaction out of playing.

As well as a City and Guilds qualified technician with distinction, Mike plays Soprano, Alto & Tenor Saxophones; therefore having the understanding of how an instrument should respond and perform along with the full knowledge of each instrument's mechanisms and craft.
 

If an instrument is looked after and receives regular maintenance, it will serve almost indefinitely and most of all give the musician optimum performance.

Mike caters for all types of Woodwind and most types of brass instrument repairs, no matter how big or small the job and all work carried out comes with a six-month guarantee.
 

Types of instrument Services:

General service
Includes the instrument being fully stripped down and cleaned, loose key mechanisms tightened up to 50% of pad, corks, felts and springs replaced as required.  All pad seating and key  regulation  checked and set, key work oiled, instrument set-up and tested.

Repad service
Includes the above with the addition of the instruments being fully re-padded and set-up.
